2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Updated March 2020

Please visit CUNY's Coronavirus Update page for current information from the University about the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In the case of a suspected infection, relevant campus procedures can be found on our Infectious Disease Protocol page.

Every person can take simple preventive actions for any kind of flu or virus, including this coronavirus:
  • Wash your hands often. Washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is ideal.
  • Make use of hand sanitizer in dispensers across campus near elevators, restroom entrances, and hallways.
  • Keep your hands away from your face and avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with tissues or with the inside of your elbow.
  • If you're sick, remain at home until you no longer register a fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using an oral thermometer) to limit the spread of disease.
